Cabinz Prototype Shelter endures 80+ mph winds while adjacent wood shelter has roof blown off & tree behind blown over

Cabinz Prototype Wedgeblock Shelter endured 80+ mph winds while adjacent wood shelter has roof blown off & tree behind blown over

Front view

Above  - Close up of wood shelter with roof blown off

Below - Fallen tree behind Wedgeblock shelter

Below that  - Rear view, no damage to cabinz shelter

Interior pics of shelter show the experiment to fill grp profile gaps with expanding foam still intact. (it was theorised that flx in grp / frame might loosen foam. )
The preferred infil is camping mat type foam

The shelter is pinned to the ground with 4 x 75cm rebar,  no gravel foundations , just Grp DES shed base.

EDIT: 22 Jan 2023 Project update - Nearly 6 years later, it's still standing! looks solid, but needs a clean (pics below)
